Filonite is a new formula which degrades mycotoxins and removes them from the body of poultry flocks leading to prevention of the negative consequences of mycotoxicosis Filonite binds to mycotoxins through its ability to form both hydrogen bonds and Van der Waals interactions with mycotoxins such as aflatoxins and ochratoxins which leads to superior toxin binding Filonite has a great ability to adsorb mycotoxins, as it binds mycotoxins without dissociating in the intestinal tract, in this way distribution of mycotoxins in the blood and target organs is greatly reduced Filonite supports beneficial bacteria in the gut of poultry to degrade aflatoxins, ochratoxin A, T-2 toxins and vomitoxin, as it causes an increase in the concentrations of both short chain fatty acids (SCFA), medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) and lactic acid that are closely related to the activity and density of the resident gut microflora Filonite is effective in degradation of ochratoxin A, as it produces non-toxic products such as phenylalanine and ochratoxin α by hydrolyzing the amide bond of ochratoxin A (OTA)
